Billy Burke and Tracy Spiridakos star in this post-apocalyptic science fiction drama set fifteen years after the worldwide blackout. With the Earth’s power disappearing overnight, governments collapse and local warlords and militias rise up to plunge the United States of America into a warring states era. The story follows the Matheson family as they make a life for themselves fifteen years after the blackout in what used to be Chicago within the territory of the Monroe Republic, led by the self-appointed president Sebastian Monroe. When the Monroe Republic discover the Matheson’s possess the key to turning the lights back on, Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) is sent to track the family down. Events lead Charlotte “Charlie” Matheson (Spiridakos) on a quest to find her uncle Miles Matheson (Burke) and fight back against the oppressive republic.
